Hisko Hulsing’s brilliant short film, Junkyard, is a tale about friendship and choices. The visually stunning film tells the story of a man whose childhood flashes before his eyes in his final moments. As the man grows from rambunctious boy to complicated teenager, the local junkyard remains a prominent fixture that will ultimately impact his life to the very end. A major hit along the festival circuit, the film was also the Netherlands’ 2013 Academy Award entry for the Best Animated Short.
