Before joining Pixar, animator Ed Chen made this captivating short film as a graduate student at USC’s Cinema School. Using black and white animation, Rattle is an effective look at the nature of envy and violence in our society. Following two individuals from birth to death, Chen offers an interesting commentary about how greed and violence can corrode every stage of life.
