Shorts Spotlight: 9 Minutes

Today I wanted to bring your attention to a cool short film starring Joshua Leonard who you will remember from his great work in The Blair Witch Project. 9 Minutes takes place over the course of a day and follows John (played by Leonard) as he rehabs in his remote desert home. All alone, except for his beloved dog Jett, strange things begin to occur culminating in a night that affects the two of them forever. The minimalist atmosphere is one of things that make 9 Minutes such an enthralling film. It is a science fiction picture that provides just enough information to reel in the viewer without spelling out every last detail. This makes for a captivating and absorbing experience.
