Hot Docs (April 26 – May 6, 2018) is quickly approaching and documentary fans are eagerly counting down the days. To get you ready for the festival, Frameline’s Barbara Goslawski sits down with Shane Smith, Director of Programming, to talk all things Hot Docs. Over the course of the discussion Smith touches on his history with the festival, Hot Docs’ 25th anniversary, the changing face of documentary films and the importance of representation behind the camera.
