At the 1978 Academy Awards war was on the minds of many as The Deer Hunter and Coming Home both received Best Picture nominations. On this week’s episode of The Dew Over podcast I join the panel to discuss war, football, Turkish prisons, and single women in the city. While Warren Beatty’s Heaven Can Wait seemed like the odd duckling in the group of nominees, it is another film that ignites a heated debate amongst two of the panelists. Honestly, this episode is worth listening to just to hear the furious wrath that one film caused noted film critic Andrew Parker to spew.
So take a moment to give the episode a listen and see whether or not you agree with the panel’s final verdict.
