foureyes

There are some child actors who just naturally know how to use facial gestures to maximum advantage. Jake Ryan, last seen in Inside Llewyn Davis and Moonrise Kingdom, is one of those actors. In Conor Byrne’s hilarious coming-of-age comedy, Ryan plays 10 year-old Bobby Bowersox. Reluctant to accept the fact that he needs glasses, Bowersox soon finds that his new pair of eye wear unexpectedly thrust him into the tumultuous world of puberty. Featuring a vibrant colour palette and top-notch performances from the cast, Foureyes is a film that crackles with energy and wit. It takes a charming and amusing approach to that awkward phase in life that we all embarrassingly go through.
